PS4's Spider-Man Is Getting New Game Plus Mode
Insomniac Games has announced that PS4's Spider-Man is getting a New Game Plus mode. After having launched just several days ago, the PlayStation 4 exclusive Spider-Man has managed to break a number of impressive records, including becoming the fastest-selling Marvel video game to date. With such palpable excitement having propelled sales, it stands to reason that there may already be a sizable portion of players swinging throughout Insomniac’s take on New York City who have already achieved a Platinum trophy with the title. With this being the case, the developer has promised to supplement the open world release with a New Game Plus mode.
New Game Plus an unlockable mode that allows players to start a a fresh game after finishing it, where certain features not normally available in a first playthrough are added, and where one can keep previously obtained items and XP from the first playthrough. So, this should be great news for Spider-Man fans looking to dive into the game’s open world NYC once more without having to worry about losing their alternative outfits for Spidey, like the Vintage Comic Book Suit.
All things considered, a New Game Plus mode should please Spider-Man‘s myriad fans, as it will give them much more to do in the game while providing added challenges to test their mettle as the iconic Marvel hero. Also, with the title’s “The City That Never Sleeps” DLC coming out next month, it’s safe to presume that players will be spending a large remainder of their 2018 with Spider-Man.
