Acer Teases Predator Thronos : Gamer Drams Come Ture
The overhead monitor mount can support up to three 27-inch displays, a configuration that Acer had on display at IFA. Once you sit down, lower the mount, and swing the keyboard tray towards the ergonomic seat, you really do feel like you're ready to do battle. The chair's vibration function can be linked to in-game action, a bit like an Xbox controller, but the motorized controls cannot. In addition to raising and lowering the monitors and leg rest, the seat can automatically recline up to 140 degrees.
Color options are what Acer describes as a "menacing" dual-tone black, with either white accents or the blue lights that were present on the IFA demo units. The company didn't announce pricing or availability for the Predator Thronos, but we're guessing the cost will be as astronomical as the chair's size and weight.
The Thronos isn't the only head-turning prototype Acer unvieled at IFA. The Taiwanese tech giant also teased a 2-in-1 convertible gaming laptop called the Acer Predator Triton 900.
